The city of Plymouth can be found in the county of Devon on the south coast of England. Plymouth has a student population of over 31,000, which accounts for the abundance of busy pubs, clubs and bars. The Millbridge Inn is a popular student hangout for its cheap drinks and often has live music at the weekends. The China House can be found in Coxside and offers great views over the harbour. Voodoo Lounge can be found in the centre of the city at The Money Centre and attracts students for its alternative rock and indie nights. The Karma Club is popular on Thursdays and Saturdays; the club features three different rooms and regularly hosts celebrity appearances and performances. Listen out for the siren on Saturdays, which indicates drinks are only 50p!
Culture vultures should visit Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery, the largest museum and gallery in the city. The museum houses an impressive collection of decorative and fine arts, natural history and human history. The museum’s collection of natural history consists of over 150,000 specimens and a natural history library and archive.
